THIS is the shocking scene when a liquid nitrogen barrel was detonated in the middle of a scientific experiment in school, hurting 15 people.
A Friday experiment gone bad at the House of Culture in Girona, Spain, resulted in nine youngsters being brought to the hospital with various degrees of burn hurts.

The assistant secures a brace around the barrels to hold them in place while wearing heavy duty gloves.
The video then shows distraught onlookers scurrying away.
Authorities have issued an alert and are requesting that people avoid the area.
The event, according to Girona’s mayor Marta Madrenas, was planned by the neighborhood university.
She claimed that “several people” were in the yard taking in the detonation at the time.
The assistant who was carrying the barrel when the detonation occurred, according to Madrenas, was seriously hurt and was sent to Trueta Hospital.
Currently on the scene are police, emergency personnel, and firefighters.
When the barrel detonated, a huge cloud of white smoke was released, forcing onlookers to flee.
